RE: Weather alert radio

I just spent a harrowing first weekend in our new (to us) pop up down in Branson, MO last week when the weather turned nasty. I used my Sprint phone to watch radar, get updates, but I sure wish I had a weather radio at that time. We had to seek shelter in a laundry room when the warnings were issued. My two cents....get a good ac/dc weather radio. --Something I wanted to add...I bought a weather radio that night at Wal-Mart after the all clear was given. Took it back, it would not charge or run on batteries. I don't rememeber the brand because I returned it the next morning but it was yello, had a hand crank and two small LCD screens. Beware. It was in blister packaging, distributed by some company in St Louis and was lke 19.95.

RE: Diesel in Jaurez, Mex $2.00 gallon range

Plain and simple....Taxes and refined quality. Diesel is taxed more heavily.

RE: Hose Carrier on the TT

I would suggest using large hose clamps.

RE: First pop up

I will check the gas lines. I get the same result trying to light it indoors or out, 2 different lines. Thanks for the tip on the rust/cleaning.

First pop up

We just bought our first pop up, 1997 Starcraft 1224 Starlounger. Everything works just fine but the stove. It acts like it doesn't have enough gas pressure to keep it lit. Could it just need cleaning? We are the third owners, the last ones told us they never used the stove. It would not stay lit when we tried to light it...in and out of the wind. I know the gas pressure is fine as we ran the installed furnace that morning, it worked like a champ. Also, can anyone suggest a website or place to find weather stripping? I need a new piece that runs along the top edge of the door where the fold up door sits. Thanks!
